Morokia

Artist

Morokia is a visionary artist whose work reflects images from places he’s visited, his mind, and his soul. Morokia’s art contains and expresses energy through the intersection of line, color, and content. He often creates using both hands simultaneously, producing work that contains energy and balance in spirit. His work frequently highlights kundalini, energy, mythic creatures and guides, as well as spirit animals. Born an artist, Morokia’s work is influenced by his life in the U.S., Mexico, Hawaii, and Colombia. Morokia currently lives in San Diego, CA.

Mauri Hays

Yoga Instructor

I began my yoga journey in 2014 after hurting my back in a bike accident.  For over a year I tried traditional medicine, chiropractic medicine, and weekly massages.  During this time a friend suggested Bikram Yoga. In my first class I thought I was going to die, but few hours later I felt relief.  Because of the relief I continued to return to class ultimately finding total relief of the pain.   As my yoga journey continued, I ventured into other styles of yoga (Vinyasa, Yin and Hatha).

Yoga is the journey of self not just an aerobic exercise but a journey of mind body connection. As a result I felt a calling to share how yoga can be integrated into anyone’s life regardless of age or abilities.

In my spare time I enjoying cooking, quilting and playing with my Whippet Q.

Heather Tone

Jewelry Workshops

Heather is a born and raised San Diegan who found passion in jewelry-making 12 years ago.  Like all crafters, she started simple and then slowly added to her repertoire.  She also started realizing that this was a type of therapy for her when times started becoming stressful; she could throw herself into a project and come out creating something beautiful.  When she’s not making jewelry or immersed in her 9-5 scientist position (I know…complete opposite end of the spectrum!), she enjoys family time with her husband and 2-year old daughter.
